The position would be responsible for
  • When required represent the organization as a spokesperson; at community activities and conduct official correspondence on behalf of organization as appropriate.
  • Develop operational plans incorporating goals and objectives towards the strategic direction of the organization. Ensure that the operations meet expectations of stakeholders.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of resources and effective monitoring of day-to-day delivery of programs and services and evaluation of the organization to maintain and improve quality.
  • Coach, motivate, sensitize and mentor staff and volunteers, discipline staff when necessary in appropriate way; release staff when necessary using appropriate and legally defensible procedures.
  • Prepare and submit reports in timely manner on the revenues and expenditure of the organization, ensure compliance with all legislation covering taxation and withholding payments.
  • The Country Manager should demonstrate competence in adaptability, ethical behavior, build relationships, communicate effectively, creative/innovative, focus on community needs, foster community needs, leadership, decision making, planning problem solving & strategic thinking. 
  • Postgraduate in development studies or Master's in Business Administration.
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years experience preferably in Africa at managerial position.
  • Fluent in English and Hindi preferred. Knowledge of French languages is an added advantage.
