Head of Information System Security

    ROLE PURPOSE 

    To manage all on-going activities that provides access to sensitive information
    and protects the confidentiality and integrity of customers, employees and commercially sensitive information in compliance with QM policies and standards and applicable laws and regulations.

    PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTATION

    Works with direct supervisor to identify and establish medium to short term strategic priorities and targets, in line with QMs guidelines and ensures their successful execution.

    Implements initiatives that enable maximum output that fully contributes to the delivery of department goals.

    Executes policies and procedures review to identify areas of improvement within own function and recommends changes leading to best-practice operations.

    Develops and monitors KPIs, takes corrective actions where necessary and produces regular reports with analysis and comment on performance and results.

    OPERATIONS

    Manages overall enterprise process for information security strategy and associated architecture and engineering standards.

    Manages development and implementation of security policy,standards, guidelines and procedures to ensure on-going maintenance of security.

    Identifies protection goals, objectives and metrics consistent with QM strategic plan and work with the leadership to prioritize security initiatives and spending based on appropriate risk management and/or financial methodology.

    Oversees the team of security employees and vendors who safeguard the company's assets, intellectual property and computer systems.

    Implements information security risk assessments and serves as an internal auditor for security issues.

    TALENT MANAGEMENT

    Motivates staff and empowers direct reports by providing the necessary
    tools and support required to meet business goals.

    Education and Certification

    Bachelors Degree in Information Computer Security or relevant field

    CISSP, CISM or other recognized Security Certification is preferred

      Job Description

      ROLE PURPOSE

      To oversee and direct the activities of the Web Services at (QM)
      Role Purpose with the objective of operating and maintaining a highly efficient, scalable, available, and secure infrastructure platform in accordance with QM policies,
      processes and standard operating procedures.

      PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTATION

      Manages Web and Digital Interactive Media, develops and maintains the primary QM website. Possesses strong user understanding and demonstrated expertise in web content, usability, architecture, development and design.

      Designs, develops, maintains, and interfaces complex web applications using ASP.NET, VB.Net, Java, DHTML, XML, JavaScript and other scripting/programming languages in the design and implementation of web application projects.

      OPERATIONS

      Maintains existing website and interactive rich-media applications that best exhibit Museums arte- facts, and enhances functionality to meetbusiness and e-Services including security requirements.
      Researches emerging web development practices/technology and participates in long-range planning for the development of the alumni/development site, evaluating new systems and methodologies.
      Provides excellent management of Web and Digital Media including working collaboratively with staff, management, Museums, and IT support.
      Partners with internal and external content managers, editors, designers, developers, and other Museums staff to ensure sites meet
      QM needs, align with the brand strategy platform, and meet organization web standards.

      STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT 

      Builds working relationships and negotiates service level agreements
      with external vendors and service providers.
      Attends conferences, meetings and seminars in order to remain abreast of industry trends and latest developments.
      Serves as QMs advocate in system external stakeholders and address/solve concerns as they arise.

      QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

      Necessary knowledge
      Profound knowledge of web based applications to be able to do the
      Strong proficiency in HTTP, XML, Java and other standards from the job Web architecture

      Education and Certification

      Bachelors Degree in Computer BSc OR other computer applications or related field Certification

      Recognized certificate in related field is desirable

      Work Experience 

      A minimum of 8 years relevant experience in a management role in a museum or related educational, research organization
