    Marketing Manager, Southeast Asia (based in Singapore)

    Job Description:

    The overall objective for this role is to develop partner marketing strategies and implement plans that enable effective marketing of Polycom products through our different channels of distribution and improve partner performance.
    Whilst we have a high touch sales model in most countries, Polycom only sells through distribution. The dynamics of the voice and video business are different which present challenges in meeting the needs of the different sales models sometimes required. Additionally, the data, voice and video market is gravitating to a Unified Communications / Cloud delivery model which is changing the partner landscape and the opportunity for Polycom. Candidates for this role need to understand the dynamics of the UC and Service Provider marketplace and how the industry is moving from a product-centric to a solutions-and applications-centric model. The candidate should also be well versed with the tactics that may be involved to bring about marketing performance in support of business priorities. 
    The role will require some travel within the SEA region, however we expect all employees to use our equipment to collaborate both internally and with external parties, on a daily basis, and actively encourage this work ethic to save both costs and to work towards a greener planet.

    Role Requirements 

    Working with key internal stakeholders, described above, to understand sales imperatives so as to be able to align the territorys channel, sales & marketing objectives. This will include managing the Polycom Partner Programme, the associated marketing components within.
    Lead and facilitate business and marketing planning between Polycom and its partners, which will include segmentation, targeting and positioning of the Polycom brand in key market segments in line with Partner capabilities.
    Support the territory in programmatising local marketing activities, directed at the channel community. The role should avoid personalised or bespoke Partner activity, but rather taking what is available (campaigns, assets, tools, messaging) and convert/promote them as TO and THROUGH marketing assets for Partners.
    Provide direction and inputs to the Polycom partners in the execution of their Polycom related marketing initiatives, to facilitate effectiveness and ensure that initiatives ultimately impact end user customers, growing pipeline in the channel and measuring their ROI.

    Plan and give directions to marketing agencies for lead qualification, to build a high-performance lead to sales development process that will increase the quality of pipeline and revenue conversion rates.
    Identify and work with key stakeholders in partner organisations to facilitate the flow of pertinent information to the partners to enable their planning and implementation processes.
    Be responsible for approval of JMF (joint marketing fund) activities, in conformity with the guidelines and investment strategy.
    Monitor the use and application of Polycoms brand and logo by the partner community and provide feedback and alerts to the partner where/when non conformity exists.
    Obtain timely feedback from partners on sales and marketing initiatives for analysis and reporting purposes.
    Work with the partners to harness their skills, resources and customer contacts to drive local demand generation and / or awareness / enablement activities.
    Lead generation such as installed base, or prospecting. Involves deep pre-analysis of customer data, targeting and segmenting.
    Support in country / SEA integrated marketing campaigns that may or may not be partner-focused. 
    Take ownership and roll out Polycom corporate and regional initiatives as required.
    Propose processes, systems, initiatives and where applicable, develop and implement them to ensure maximum return on Polycoms resources invested in channel activities. The resources include but not limited to; Polycom JMF funds, Polycoms on line tools (Polycom Partner Connect; Eloqua, SFDC, Qliksense, Brandblox, etc ), training programmes, people and time.
    Comply with the internal reporting requirements and feedback mechanisms including keeping the Head of Marketing up to date with developments in the assigned territory on a regular basis.

    Qualifications & Experience Required

    Management or Marketing Degree / Diploma
    8 years in marketing or related field preferably, a proven track record working for major IT/technology vendor or industry of similar type /pace ; 3-5 years in individual contributor managerial capacity 
    Channel & Field marketing experience essential
    Basic proficiency (speak, read and basic writing) of one ASEAN language (Viet / Bahasa / Thai ) is a plus
    Corporate Communications Manager
      Working with key internal stakeholders, described above, to understand business and marketing imperatives to align the territorys communications objectives. This will include managing both internal and external corporate communications across APAC.
      Lead PR planning between the regions to understand the country plans and activities and execute in tandem.
      Align and execute the PR plans as part of integrated campaigns with the objective of ultimately impacting end user customers and / or media
      Develop, manage and execute the communications strategy with PR agencies across APAC
      Content development to feed multiple communication outlets (customer references, pitch writing, blogs, social etc)
      Work with company spokespeople (including customers) to prepare them for public speaking engagements, media interviews, including social media training etc
      Personally build and maintain key relationships with press, analysts and partners across Asia Pacific
      Deep understanding of corporate communication strategies from a global and local perspective
      Grow Polycom's social media effectiveness, building internal social advocates, and integrating with marketing demand generation campaigns
      Liaison and reporting to Corporate on behalf of APAC, including execution of global communications and campaigns
      Position Polycom's technology and vertical industry leadership
      Support Marketing Director on internal communications activities

      Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
      A self-starter; able to analyse the marketplace and develop localised strategies that complement those of regional and corporate teams

      Strong project management and organization skills with experience leading projects and collaborating at all levels of the organization and across geographies, you are known for demonstrating a rigorous attention to detail, with a proactive can do attitude
      Experience building positive media and analyst relations
      Must have knowledge of PR landscape and relationships with key influencers in APAC tech environment
      You will have solid proven experience with Social Media and Analyst relations (over 2yrs)
      You will have excellent skills in writing creative pitches, press releases, and internal communications that are engaging and highly persuasive
      High level understanding of the organisation strategy (vision and objective) and the role of communications within the marketing mix
      Outstanding interpersonal skills and team acumen to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
      An ability to work well with senior company executives
      A flexible individual, with ability to react quickly to changing circumstances and deal with ambiguity to build creative solutions

        Experience crafting and delivering internal communications working closely with Polycom executives
        Experience in managing multiple agencies
        Good in juggling multiple-projects concurrently under fast paced environment
        Excellent command of English (speak, read and written) with samples of writing to show 
        Journalism experience a plus
        Ability to speak Mandarin or other Asian language a bonus, but not essential
