ELECTRICAL ENGINEER / FACILITY COORDINATOR 

  1. Administers requisitions for maintenance supplies, special tools, plant and manages all the eBEAMS activities for his discipline.
1.1.2Directs the work of personnel in his charge.
1.1.3Maintains equipment history and performance trending records.
1.1.4Prepares and submits daily activity report to the company’s representative.
1.1.5Compiles equipment failure report and submits to the Company’s representative.
1.1.6Must have Kuwaiti Driving License.
  1. Familiar with Commercial and Contracts activities associated with maintenance Contract administration.

1.2 Operational
  1. Co-ordinates work functions of the Contractor’s personnel in his area of responsibility, ensures quality of work and supervision.
1.2.2Ensures the implementation of the routine/preventive/breakdown/shutdown and major overhaul programme by the Contractor’s personnel to meet the maintenance goals both at site and in the workshop facilities.
1.2.3Organizes in liaison with the Supervisor and the company’s representative earliest completion of any major breakdowns in the field.
1.2.4Ensures personnel’s adherence to safe working.
1.2.5Continually reviews updated maintenance requirements/procedures.
1.2.6Provides technical support to the operational functions.
  1. Advises on improvements that can be made to plant and equipment to increase machine availability and maintainability.
  2. Drives Contractor’s vehicles as required.
  3. Ensures the availability of personnel, tools and test equipment at all times as specified.
  4. Attends to call-out duty after normal working hours.
  5. Ensures that the statutory Electrical Regulations are adhered.
  6. Operates and maintains the LT/HT network as directed by company’s representative.
  7. Operates and maintains electrical equipment including LV & MV motors, UPS, Batteries, LV & MV Switchgears, LV & MV Cables, LV & MV Generators, Protective Relays and Variable Speed Drives.
1.3       Liaison
1.3.1    Liaises with the Company representative on daily basis.
1.3.2    Liaises with other company maintenance functions and Company contractors concerning equipment and items of common interest within their broad scope of work, and as directed by the Superintendent’s representative.
1.3.3    Liaises with the Supervisor and Area Engineers within the contract to ensure efficient utilisation of manpower. Compiles and present area daily stand by and call out service report.

2.         SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION
2.1       Qualifications
2.1.1    Degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum one (1) year experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System.
2.1.2    Six (6) years’ experience out of which 2 years’  in the maintenance of similar facilities, to those specified in the Technical specification , with the last two (2) years in a similar position.
  1. Thorough understanding of programme scheduling techniques.
  2. Shall be experienced in the use of computers and MS Word and other MS Application system.
  3. Must be fluent in reading, writing and speaking English language.
  4. Shall assist to Company’s Contracts Engineer for all aspects relevant to the prequalification, preparation, issue, receipt, opening and assessment of tenders & award, execution & management and close out of contracts.
  5. Extensive knowledge in Tender activities like preparation of Tender documents, evaluate the bids, clarifications and recommendation the qualified bidder to award.
  6. Coordination Kick-off meeting with Contractors.
  7. Maintain effective and accurate records of contract costs in accordance with respective Contract documents.
  8. Assist to Company’s Contracts Engineer during completion of Contract close-out activities like issuance of completion certificates; settle the final accounts, etc.
  9. Ensure confidentiality of contract documents is maintained.

2.2       Supervisory Capability
2.2.1    Have the capability to supervise the maintenance of the complete facility and the work of subordinate staff including breakdown/shutdown maintenance activities, capable for decision making and work planning judged in that order.
2.2.2    Very strong background in maintenance & troubleshooting of various electrical equipment used in oil & petrochemical industry.
2.3       Communications.
Be capable of group communication to direct the maintenance of the complete facility.

  2. Possess analytical capabilities strongest in diagnostic, eliminative and historical in that order.
  3. Able to conduct roof cause analysis to determine reasons of failure.

2.1.4    Knowledge in troubleshooting disassembling and reassembling equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, valves, pipes, vessels and the like according to specifications.
2.1.5    Shall be experienced in the use of Computers and MS Windows and other MS Office applications.
  1. Knowledge of operating all equipment and tools specified in the contract.
  2. Knowledge of mechanical projects work, workshop practice and facilities.
  3. Must be fluent in reading, writing and speaking English language.
