Job Purpose:

The MRP Specialist reports directly to the MRP Supervisor and is responsible for the proper and timely coordination between receiving, processing, distribution, and storage of materials and to expedite flow of work and materials within or between operations to meet the production schedule for the F100-PW-220/220E and RB199 engine modules and other engines and their respective modules as required.

Basic responsibilities and job functions:

 Implements the following Material management functions:

o Coordinate receiving, processing, distribution, and storage of goods
o Coordinate with Purchasing and the Safety Office for all new chemicals and dangerous goods and ensure an MSDS is provided
o Coordinate processing of all goods sent out and ensures quality and cost effective courier and trucking service
 Ensures material requirements are identified in collaboration with the Production and Engineering departments
 Responsible for inputting information into the MEPC Job Scope computer production materials tracking system.
 Maintains the material management system to ensure it is accurate and to generate material management reports as required
 Coordinates with the Materials Senior Supervisor, appropriate departments, and vendors to ensure materials are requisitioned and delivered to the end user to meet the production schedule
 Uses sourcing strategies to support MEPC objectives, providing the company competitive advantage in the area of materials, supplies, and services
 Monitors and documents suppliers for; cost, quality, and delivery performance
o Monitor and optimize supplier performance to include; continuous improvement, innovations, obsolescence, and reduction in total costs
 Uses appropriate sourcing strategies to control the company’s purchased material costs and to assure an adequate source of supply

Education, Skills & Qualification:

 Degree level qualification and relevant professional qualification

 Minimum three years of progressively similar experience

 Fluent in the English Language

 Must be able to speak effectively before large groups of employees or visitors

 Must be able to read and interpret technical data, procedural manuals, and policies and procedures

 Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

 Must be able to use a computer and be able to work with software (Microsoft Word) are required
