Project Manager (Bridge Construction)


    Experience in bridge design, including bridge rehabilitation design, Bridge hydraulics.
    Strong skills in structural analysis and design of Bridge, concrete, pre-stressed concrete and timber structures related to transportation. 
    To work with in the given time frame and stipulated budget.
    To ensure on time delivery of foundation work, sub structure and super structure.
    To ensure optimum utilization of manpower and equipment along with the daily work.
    To report on daily work progress in comparison with the target quantity.
    To prepare monthly budget and monthly requirement of raw materials. 
    To prepare manpower and equipment schedule on monthly basis.
    To develop a frame to establish enough control to expedite the job with satisfactory level.
    To supervise installation of bridge piles and caissons. 
    Responsible for managing construction of bridge piers, abutments, beams, deck slabs, waterproofing and paving. 

    Responsible for coordinating inspection and testing plans and operations with materials engineers. 
    To design & analyze of new and existing bridges, retaining walls, culverts and other structures related to transportation. 
    Responsible for Construction document production, including drawings and specifications.
    Interfacing with bridge superintendents, Construction Engineers, vendors and other concerns. 
    To manage the delivery of technical outputs of project teams.
    To contribute in technical excellence and innovation across the team.
    To maintain liaison with consultant for design approval and regular inspection.
    To carry out the checking, certifying and authorizing for issue designs, documents, approvals, necessary certificates and reports.
    Preparing bridge inspection reports and other structural investigation reports. 
    Responsible for providing Technical input to the agreement of project briefs, proposals and deliverables with Project Manager.
    To ensure appropriate Health and Safety standard as per agreement.

    Quantity Surveyor


      Responsible for Submitting IPA (Interim payment application) to consultant as per prescribed format.
      To ensure timely submission of IPA with valid documents and make sure that the contractor is getting payment on time.
      Responsible for preparing Subcontractor Agreements, subcontractor payments, Negotiation & Finalization of Sub Contract works. 
      Preparing Variations for additional works and claims as per FIDIC and get it approved and experience on Price Escalation etc.
      To Prepare the MIS, Ensure that all contracts are consistent with the project schedule and budgets. 
      To advise Procurement Department regarding Contractual entitlements and provisions.
      To assist the Procurement Department in negotiation of price and quality. 
      To conduct the financial and contract negotiations at the appropriate Management level ensuring that the agreements with the vendors/suppliers are commercially advantageous.
      To assist in Preparation of BOQ. 
      Responsible for Reviewing project proposals or plans to determine time frame, financial objectives, and procedures for accomplishing work, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources during various phases of any project (Complete analytical experience for pre & post contract work)
        The ideal candidate must be familiar with FIDIC (Latest Version) Contract; Experienced to work on foreign funded at least 3 projects like ADB, JICA, World Bank etc. Project value should not less than USD 200 million; worked as QS in contractor part is a must and hand on experience for minimum one railway track project.
        He needs to have experience in the following fields: 
        Budgeting 
        Costing & Cost Control
        Cash in & out flow Management 
        Revenue analysis, strategy management
        Project Planning & programming ( Primavera or MS Project) 
        Resource Management 
        Profit / Loss analysis (Commercial Reports)
        Contract administration (which includes: Resource Management, Profit / Loss Analysis, Risk Analysis, Revenue Analysis etc.)
        Conflict management 
        Risk analysis
        Taxation 
        IT Requirement: MS Office (Latest version), Auto CAD, Primeavera 6 or MS Project. Experience on CCS Candy will be an added advantage.

        Head of Earthwork


          1. Responsible for setting work procedure & work methodology for the project. 
          2. Organize project team for the performance of works and verification activities and provide direction and support to the project Earthworks team.
          3. Responsible for supervising PVD works, Geotechnical construction, Soft Soil treatment, Organic Soil treatment, Preload surcharge, Sub-grade
          4. To complete oversight for successful execution of 50 KM long embankment/rail bed project to meet Company goals for safety, quality, budget and schedule, in accordance with the core values. 
          5. Responsible for selecting embankment construction materials and selecting soil filling materials. 
          6. Supervising all kinds of field and laboratory test relating to the construction of the embankment. 
          7. Responsible for conducting Strategic Planning Work with senior leadership to develop long term plans for the organization around growth and development of construction capacity. 
          8. To Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.

          9. To create long-term plans and work with staff to create and adhere to individual annual and 90-day plans.
          10. Responsible for bringing about optimum utilization of resources- labor, materials and equipment, and ensuring their procurement at most cost-effective terms.
          11. Responsible for Reviewing project proposals or plans to determine time frame, financial objectives, and procedures for accomplishing work, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources during various phases of any project. 
          12. To evaluate construction methods and to determine cost-effectiveness of plan
          13. Responsible for studying job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.
          14. To Review architectural and engineering drawings of the project to make sure that all specifications and regulations are being followed.
          15. To Manage and coordinate safety and quality effort for the project, utilizing safety and QC resources appropriately.

          16. To Monitor contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with consultants, clients, suppliers and sub-contractors.
          17. Responsible for reporting to Senior Management on progress and any necessary modifications of plans that seem indicated.
          18. Responsible for Training the staff and Supervising pre-development, purchasing and warehouse.
          19. To determine appropriate revenue recognition measures; ensuring timely and accurate reporting of project costs, and monitoring payables for project.
          20. To take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site.
          21. To monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with all the sub-teams.
          22. Responsible for the Periodic inspection of construction sites.
          23. Ensure project documents are complete.
            1. The ideal candidate must have the working experience in constructing embankments for railway track for at least 2 big projects and the project value should not less than USD 200 million
            2. He must be capable of handling a work force of 200-500 workers and 40-50 site engineering team and execution of project successfully, timely and least cost while maintaining the quality.
            3. Must possess the Leadership quality of multinational working team. Special skill should be writing Contractual Letters to the Stakeholders.
            4. Should have the knowledge on international laws and ordinances regulating construction and operation.
            5. Implement company policies and procedures to identify and mitigate risk from Owner financial status, subcontractor and vendor performance (including subcontractor bonding and insurance requirements).

            7. Should have the experience in estimating new projects and changing orders, along with proposing them and performing a post-bid interview if required.

              i. Handling, transportation & storage of track materials
              ii. Planning of track work
              iii. Track construction work such as-
              Installation of long welded (LWR) track and destressing
              Installation of Short welded (SWR) track
              Welding of rails 
              Installation of fish plated track
              Installation of turnouts, trap switches, switch expansion joints, Glued insulated joints
              Installation of level crossing
              Temporary track construction for traffic diversion, if needed
              4.To complete oversight for successful execution of 50 KM long rail track project to meet Company goals for safety, quality, budget and schedule, in accordance with the core values. 
              5.To be acquainted with safety rules of train operation of the concerned Railways and to be complied with during execution of track construction works.
