Established in 1976, Gulftainer is a privately owned, independent port management and 3PL logistics company based in United Arab Emirates (UAE) and for more than 38 years we have been delivering a world-class performance to our customers.
Our UAE operations include the Khorfakkan Container Termin al (KCT) and the Sharjah Container Terminal (SCT), and the company’s international presence spans across the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas with projects in Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Brazil and the USA.
In addition to the facilities in the UAE, Gulftainer’s current portfolio covers activities at Umm Qasr Port in Iraq, Recife Port in Brazil, Tripoli Port in Lebanon and in Saudi Arabia where it manages container terminals in Jeddah and Jubail. The company recently signed a 35-year concession with the Canaveral Port Authority in Florida marking Gulftainer’s first venture in the United States.
In 2008, we launched Momentum Logistics, our fully integrated logistics provider (3PL), and currently ranked a Superbrand in its industry.

4+ years experience

• Assists the Line Manager in designing and delivering recruitment strategies and implementing contemporary hiring practices to attract diverse talent and ensure the effectiveness of recruitment practices in achieving the overall business plans and objectives
• Prepares reports and provides statistical data as required by the Line Manager, to analyze and monitor efficiency of the recruitment function, and to measure and forecast hiring activity
• Explores best practices within the local hiring market and implements appropriate best practices within the organization
• Screens and logs in all incoming CVs and maintains the CV bank database.
• Conducts job interviews and records feedback on for all supervisory level positions (or other key jobs within the organization)
• Ensures interview feedback is recorded appropriately on all interviews conducted
• Prepares Offers of Employment as instructed by Line Manager
• Coordinates visa and other personnel record documentation with interviewing candidates and new hires
• Coordinates with overseas manpower agencies to organize visa endorsement and onboarding processes so as to facilitate timely and cost-effective mobilization of new hires from abroad
• Update the recruitment tracker to correctly reflect the status on all vacancies
• Coordinates with the Government Relations function regarding visas, work permits, labour contracts, etc.
• Focal point for updates of newly hired staff start dates
• Maintains all recruitment correspondence, files and records
• Responsible for administrative duties of Recruitment function
• Performs other duties as required
• Strictly follows Company’s policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations to protect and maintain the health and safety of oneself, others, and the environment adopted by the Company. 
• Promptly reports any possible violations on the Company’s health and safety policies and procedures.

The ideal candidates would be responsible for the end to end recruitment for role assigned by the line manager, along with the on-boarding tasks assigned to him. Assist the line manager in designing and delivering recruitment strategies and policies when asked. Presents reports in the form of statistical and meaningful data.
