    Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. General Duties
    Preventative maintenance of buildings and equipment
    Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled
    maintenance procedures. 
    Performs preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, re-places filters, greases bearings, seals, etc.
    Repairs or replaces broken parts
    May assist with the implementation of fire safety procedures, conduct fire drills, and verify that smoke detectors and fire extinguishers are operational
    Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required
    Performs any other duties that may be assigned as required

    2. Safety:
    Adheres to the Safety Policies, including use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment
    Reports unsafe conditions immediately to the Supervisor
    Reports all incidents, injuries and near misses to the Supervisor
    immediately
    Cooperates in the Early and Safe Return to Work Program if an injury or medical illness requires accommodation

    3. Food Safety:
    Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) as trained

    4. Quality:
    Adheres to all quality standards per customer specifications

    5. Tools and Equipment:
    Hand and Power tools
    Forklift
    Scissor Lift

    Reports to:Maintenance Manager

    Qualifications:

    Must be eligible to work in Canada.  5 TO 8 Years experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair; or an accept-able equivalent combination of education and experience. 

    Working Conditions:

    PHYSICAL While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl; and talk; or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, colour vision and depth perception. 

    ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently ex-posed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud.

    Required Training:

    Orientation training, including, Food Safety, Attendance Policy, Conduct Policy, AODA, WHMIS, Incident Response and Reporting, Emergency Response Plan, Return to Work and Disability Management, Ergonomic Policy  Health and Safety Policy

    Forklift Certification

    Maintenance Engineer : Wellington, Ontario, Canada
      Position Title: 4th Class Engineer

      Department: Maintenance

      Duties and Responsibilities:

      1. General Duties
      Daily testing of water quality and operation of boilers and chillers
      Refilling softener salt container - 40 lb bags roughly 10 - 15 every other day
      Maintaining mechanical equipment in the mechanical room
      Trouble shooting problems with boilers and chillers
      Cleaning coils for refrigeration equipment which would require washing out, brushing could include work above shoulder height
      Changing fans in refrigeration equipment, weighing approx. 15 lb
      Cleaning screens for water supply
      Performs any other duties that may be assigned as required

      2. Supervisory Responsibilities
      May exercise supervision over Maintenance Workers or Public Service 
      Workers May supervise 1 to 2 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
      Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and resolving problems

      3. Safety:
      Adheres to the Safety Policies, including use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment
      Reports unsafe conditions immediately to the Supervisor
      Reports all incidents, injuries and near misses to the Supervisor immediately
      Cooperates in the Early and Safe Return to Work Program if an injury or

      Valid Class G drivers license, above average driving record, insurable
      Three (3) years of experience maintaining boilers and chillers
