We are a Sharjah based, reputable international organization engaged in the manufacture and global marketing of Perfumes, Cosmetics and Personal Care products. Established in 1974, the Scion International group today comprises of 14 companies involved, primarily in developing, manufacturing and distributing fragrances, color cosmetics, skin care, bath care and other personal care products
    Based in Sharjah, the EXPORT SALES MANAGER shall be responsible for the development and profitability of the business of the company in the territories assigned with the existing and new product ranges. 

    As the job holder will be responsible for maintaining, developing and increasing business mainly in Sub-Saharan African Countries the candidates with good experience, business contacts and working knowledge in these markets will be preferred.

    Priority-1: Experience in Nigeria, Ghana, Tanzania, Kenya, Angola, Zambia
    Priority-2: Experience in Senegal, Guinea, Mozambique, Madagascar, DR Congo, Ethiopia, Uganda.

    Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities 
    1. Overall development of business in new and existing markets/countries
    2. Channel management in the markets allocated
    3. To achieve and exceed sales targets in the geographical jurisdiction.
    4. Preparation and implementation of sales strategy to ensure growth targets are met.
    5. Sales, sales promotion, product management, appointment of distributors, handling external advertising and research agencies, guiding the sales personnel of distributors.
    6. Maintain awareness of local market conditions and competitor activities, user preferences and desires and industry trends.
    7. Identification of new business opportunities in existing or new product categories within the manufacturing capabilities of the organization in the relevant markets.

  • Skills & Competencies Required 
    1. Good knowledge and relevant experience in sales in FMCG industry.
    2. Experience of identifying, appointing and working with Distributors in the above mentioned Sub-Saharan African Countries.
    3. Consistent proven track record of identifying and exploiting business opportunities based on market analysis and researches.
    4. Experience of deploying advertising and marketing activities and good contacts with relevant marketing agencies in Sub-Saharan African countries.
    5. Experience of dealing with multiple brands/product categories and large numbers of SKUs.
    6. Willingness to undertake extensive International Travel.
    7. Experience of accurate sales forecasting.
    8. Understanding numbers and to be comfortable working with numbers to analyse and interpret financial data and P&Ls.
    9. Very good interpersonal skills and well presented.
    10. Experience and successful track record of meeting and achieving challenging sales targets.
    11. Strong excel ability and proficiency in using rest of MS Office.
    12. Knowledge of English (to speak, read and write) is a pre-requisite. Knowledge of French, though not essential, will be a definite plus.

  • Experience Required
    7 10 years experience in Sales and Marketing of FMCGs preferably in fragrance/beauty and personal care products industry. Candidates with minimum 5 Years experience in handling International Sales/Export Sales with good contacts with Distributors in Sub-Saharan African countries as listed below:

    Priority-1: Experience in Nigeria, Ghana, Tanzania, Kenya, Angola, Zambia
    Priority-2: Experience in Senegal, Guinea, Mozambique, Madagascar, DR Congo, Ethiopia, Uganda
