Skyline University - Nigeria is being established by Skyline Education Group, with their other education entities include Skyline University, Sharjah, UAE. 
Skyline University College UAE, was established under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, member of the UAE Supreme Council and the Ruler of Sharjah in 1990 in the heart of Sharjah, a city that has been recognized as a hub of education, culture and heritage by UNESCO. SUC is successful in its pursuit to offer high quality education and create awareness among students towards the needs of society. It is presently one of the leading Universities in the Northern Emirates.
Over a period of time the University has carved a niche for itself in Business Management Education and training required for the industry. The programs offered by SUC are fully approved and accredited by Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, UAE. (www.caa.ae). 
The state-of-the art infrastructure spread across 40 acres of land is well equipped to cater to the needs of the students in shaping up their future as young managerial workforce and prepare them to meet the challenges of today's world. The campus in the University City of Sharjah, situated on the border of Sharjah and Dubai, has well equipped and purpose built academic and administrative blocks, well-furnished Library and Computer Lab, Sports Centre which includes gymnasium, common room for students, international size floodlit cricket ground, football field and a covered basketball court, keeps the students engaged in sports activities. 
The diversity in Skyline is embodied by students from 60 different nationalities, this is reflected in various colorful multi-cultural events from time to time and the sharing of multicultural views help in solving business and social problems SUC is conscious of Quality education and in this endeavor it improves its quality of programs by collecting regular feedback from industry experts and employers. The academic board conducts rigorous evaluation of curriculum and courses and suggests improvement in the programs so as to enable the students to acquire employable skills and competences suitable for the industry requirements. The Institution has articulation agreements with various Colleges/Universities in Canada, UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, Pakistan etc., which facilitates the students to get transferred for further studies. SUC has professional relationships with IATA-UFTAA, Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality (CTH), Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA), the only university in UAE to be the Gold Status approved Learning provider), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the World Tourism Organization (WTO). 
SUC has its international marketing & admission offices in Nigeria, Pakistan, Tajikistan & Kazakhstan.
    Educational requirements & experiences 
    • Master degree or advanced degree required, preferably in business, human resource management, higher education administration, or a related field. Concentration in HRM, Services preferred. 
    • At least 10- 12 years in HR role within professional services environment. 
    • Strong leadership and consensus building skills
    • A proven track record in developing and administering human resources

    • Full knowledge of all areas of Human Resources Management.
    • Full knowledge of employment-related laws, state and federal regulations, and HR legal compliance requirements.
    • Full knowledge of Pension, Gratuity and all tax related component as per Nigerian Law.

    • Coordinating the Faculty Evaluation System / Staff Evaluation System 
    • Planning, Coordinating and Implementing Faculty Development Program / Staff Development Program

  • Strategic responsibility 
    • Plans, designs and manages the structure of the Human Resources department, and sets priorities for delivering services effectively.
    • Responsible for providing oversight and management of benefits and staff compensation programs for Skyline University Nigeria.
    • Ensures legal compliance in all benefits and compensation plans and programs.
    • Develops sound and relevant HR policies and programs that support the values, goals and the mission of the University; and effectively communicates these policies and programs to the SUN community. 
    • Manage and implement a line of internal communication between the management and employees.
    • Develops employment policy and ensures consistent application and compliance.
    • Developing, implementing and managing the institutions staff recruitment and employment programs.
    • Contribute in identifying the development needs of members of staff and insure their development.
    • Provide consultation, make recommendations, give appropriate advice to management and/or facilitate decision making.
    • Partners with and provides direct support to faculty and staff with matters related to employment.
    • Partners with Management teams in designated areas to target HR services to aid in accomplishing operational goals.

  • Operation responsibility 
    • Provides support to Management in matters related to staffing (including optimal organizational structure, job description development, and work-flow analysis and improvement); recruitment and selection; performance management; employee relations; and compensation and benefits.
    • Advises and monitors the SUN employment practices with regard to advancing diversity and preventing discrimination.
    • Read, interpret and apply Laws, Rules, Regulations, Policies and/or Procedures.
    • Follow written and/or oral instructions of the Director Operations and perform additional duties as assigned by the VC and his nominee.
    • Coordinate the SUN recruitment process through the recruitment committee and ensure optimal success rate in hiring and integrating new employees into the Institution.
    • Coordinate Academic and Academic support promotional avenues and processes and Serve on the SUN promotion board.
    • Oversees departmental documentation on policy & procedures and provides assistance with coordination of Faculty & Staff Handbook.
    • Provides communication and training for new policies and on-going compliance.
    • Ensures performance evaluations conducted in a timely manner. Coordinates the performance evaluation process with the IRO.
