Production Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:
  1. Controlling the entire production floor activities from Cutting, Stitching, Assembly, Outsole Processing. Stock Fitting and Quality Control.
  2. Making sure the daily targets are met based on the given production plan.
  3. Pro active planning and assignment of works to every line supervisor.
  4. Should have strong technical and practical knowledge of all operations in making footwear.
  5. Should have understanding about different construction of shoes. Fashion, Athletics, etc.,
  6. Improving quality and efficiency time to time.
  7. Foreseeing performance bottlenecks and taking corrective measures to avoid the same.
  8. Time study and process improvement to get the utmost efficiency in productivity
  9. Working closely with material and planning department to plan production activity in effective manner.
  10. Writing, compilation of production reports is inherent in this position. 
  11. Conducting production meetings on daily basis and contribute in root cause analysis for problems and provide solutions for improvement of the production process

Production Line Supervisor

  1. Ensure that raw materials are available against the production plan for the styles to be produced.
  2. Assigns materials to workers to ensure continuous workflow.
  3. Be able to monitor and evaluate performance of each section of the production team for maximum efficiency.
  4. Should be able to compute time in motion study and improve process flow.
  5. Manage production schedules, delivery times and quality defects.
  6. Writing reports, compilation of production reports is inherent in this position. He/she will attend production meetings and contribute in root cause analysis for problems and constant improvement of the production process.
  7. Utilization of proper manpower to take the utmost outcome of productivity within a given target.
  8. Should be able to meet daily target outputs based on the given production plan.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY : STITCHING
  1. Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in producing shoe uppers.
  2. Setting up the stitching line process based on the shoe upper designs.
  3. Direct workers in techniques or procedures in sewing new designs.
  4. Proficient knowledge on different machine types, folders, and sewing techniques to improve productivity.
  5. Making sure the details are followed as per the confirmation sample upper in terms of color, material, stitching length, etc...
  6. Understanding the footwear process flow to push required departments for continuous input for stitching line.
  7. Making sure to produce and stock enough uppers to feed assembly lines.
  8. Even though language is a barrier with local workers, should be still able to make them understand by showing practical examples.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY : ASSEMBLY
  1. Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged from input, lasting, sole attaching and finishing fullshoes.
  2. Making sure the require toolings are available before any new styles are being produced.
  3. Prepare required upper stocks, shoe last and bottom materials for continuous production.
  4. Making sure the quality is checked in every process and required rework is followed up to meet the quantity per the production plan.
  5. Knowledge in operating and configuring different machines types.
  6. Should test physical properties of shoes in intermediate time to make sure the client standards are met.
  7. Foreseeing performance bottlenecks and taking corrective measures to avoid the same.
  8. Manage production schedules and delivery times.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY : OUTSOLE PROCESSING / STOCK FITTING
  1. Manage a set of workers to assemble outsoles with different components such as Heel, Toplift and outsole sheets.
  2. Should be able to operate and educate different machine types for various operations in making footwear outsoles.
  3. Ensure that raw materials are available against the production plan for the styles to be produced.
  4. Understanding the process flow from cutting, attaching, buffing, roughing, finishing and spray painting.
  5. Should be able to Stock fit molded outsoles with inserts, jute covering over wedges and footbed covering.
  6. Should understand and follow the SOP to use proper adhesives based on the natur of the raw material.
  7. Taking responsibility on the quality of the outsoles produced and meeting daily target given per the production plan.
