Senior ICT Trainer - Infra and Cyber Security

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Deliver Professional ICT training courses to a variety of audiences.
  • Assess the effectiveness of training courses through post-training participant surveys.
  • Prepare the training environment and resources, including setting up IT equipment where appropriate.
  • Perform training needs analysis.
  • Assist in achieving revenue budgets for the Training division.
  • Formulate training plans for Companys business customers.
  • Continuously learn modern ICT technology to introduce new training courses for customers.
  • Work closely with Company Sales Team to formulate training programs for ICT solutions being sold by Company.
  • Maintain an excellent relationship with Companys training center partners 
  • Formulate and share ICT Training Calendar to Company customers
Required Candidate profile

To be considered for this position, you will need to:
  • Hold a Bachelors degree in Computing Science, Information Systems or a related field.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years practical working experience delivering classroom based IT trainings.
  • Have Professional Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CompTIA N+ or equivalent.
  • Be highly proficient in internetworking, system administration and cybersecurity from vendors such Fortinet, Cisco, Checkpoint or similar.
  • Proficient in HCI.
  • Be a team player with ability to work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel and conduct training outside normal business hours. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills, time management, communications & presentation skills
Senior ICT Trainer - Enterprise Software - E-business Solution

This role, based at our Head Office in Suva, will be responsible for the development, monitoring and conducting of professional IT courses related to enterprise software at the Datec Fiji Training center.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare the training environment and resources, including setting up IT equipment where appropriate.
  • Perform training needs analysis.
  • Assist in achieving revenue budgets for the training division.
  • Formulate training plans for Datecs business customers.
  • Continuously learn modern ICT technology to introduce new training courses for customers.
  • Work closely with Datec Sales Team to formulate training programs for ICT solutions being sold by Datec.

  • To be considered for this position, you will need to:
  • Hold a Bachelors degree in Computing Science, Information Systems or a related field.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years practical working experience delivering classroom based IT trainings.
  • Have Professional Certifications such as MCP, MCT, MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA A+, Sharepoint or equivalent. 
  • Proficient in HCI.
  • Be highly proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Server or similar.
  • Be well versed in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP & Exchange; Microsoft Windows Operating Systems; Backup & DR Software such as Veeam and Arcserve; and Antivirus Software Solutions from vendors such as Kaspersky, Trendmicro, ESET, or similar. 
  • Be a team player with ability to work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel and conduct training outside normal business hours. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
