Job Description:

We are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Linux / Network Engineer with working knowledge of SAP Basis administration focusing on maintaining hosted infrastructure.

You will be responsible for SAP Transport management, coordination between SAP business and Datacenter for any infrastructure-related tasks which include but is not limited to requests for firewall rules amendment, DNS changes, and new systems provisioning, backup and restore activities, participate in infrastructure design discussions. You will assist in maintaining SAP infrastructure documentation and procedures.

Support SAP Basis administration tasks, in particular transport management. As part of BASIS team, participate in release and change management and promote transports to production.
Monitor infrastructure related ticketing queue and respond to service requests or incidents.
Process infrastructure related service requests such as firewall rules amendment, DNS changes, new systems provisions, etc.
Provide support for connectivity or related network / communication issues for the user and business teams communities.
Perform routine maintenance tasks for infrastructure systems such as backups, patch management and hot fixes.
Monitor hardware / software activities and resource utilization for capacity planning.
Participate in infrastructure testing efforts.
Document Infrastructure related problems status and resolution.
Test and execute backup and disaster recovery for infrastructure systems.
Assists in developing and updating documentation for existing new infrastructure solutions.
Collect and maintain tracking and configuration documentation and plans for any changes happening in Infrastructure systems.

Result of service
ERP solution, Umoja, well maintained and uninterrupted availability ensured to end users.
Systems document for Umoja kept updated.
Disaster recovery and business continuity procedures of Umoja updated and tested.
Successfully completed support tickets.

Qualifications/Special Skills
Skills: The following are required as a minimum:
Minimum of five years' experience SAP basis and infrastructure administration.
Good understanding of SAP systems and various layers of infrastructure that support SAP systems in a large organization setup.
Knowledge of SAP transportation management system, CTS+.
Experience of managing SAP transports through SAP Solution Manager ChaRM is desired.
Knowledge of ERP, Umoja is desirable.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Language: Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required
