Attends regular toolbox meeting, understand and follow all instructions and work procedures.
Ensure correct and safe operation of equipment and machinery
Troubleshoot and maintain engines, conveyors, electrical systems, CNC machinery, pneumatic tools and hydraulic equipment.
Identify faulty equipment through observation and testing metrics.
Source replacement parts and perform repairs.
Work with facility manager to continually update the production process and system software.
Safely operate cranes, power tools, hoists and hand tools.
Assess the condition of used parts using micrometres, callipers and specifications.
Maintain parts and tools inventory.
Prepare maintenance reports and summary presentations using daily activity logs, analysis and trends.
Maintain electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical knowledge via on-going training, industry workshops and technical reading. Assisting the mechanical engineer with mechanical design and maintenance tasks.
Installing and performing diagnostic tests on mechanical systems.
Developing and implementing mechanical maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns.
Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as performing repairs.
Monitoring the availability of parts and replenishing supplies.
Optimizing mechanical efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings.
Training co-workers on the safe and efficient use of mechanical machinery and equipment.
Maintaining a tidy work environment and adhering to industry regulations
Ensuring that HSE requirements are taken into consideration during document review
Comply with INTECH health and safety policies and general site safety rules and to report any injury, near miss or potentially unsafe condition / hazard or any other occurrence which may cause injury to personnel damage to equipment or affect the local environment using the correct reporting lines.
Support and comply with Quality, HSE, Company Policies and ISO management system documentations and implementations
Desired Candidate Profile
Graduate degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent.
