Inviting talent from India for one of our globally renowned clients well-established in secure gaming space with growing presence in Malaysia is looking to add Sr. Linux database administration professionals as a part of their expansion plans.

It is a very exciting opportunity that involves gaining business domain knowledge, working closely with talent from across different nationalities and foremost working in a Hi-tech development environment.


Some of the key responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for Redis, MySQL, PostgreSQL and other NoSQL Server instances including installations, configurations, patch updates, monitoring and version upgrades.
  • Implementing, optimizing, and maintaining Redis, MySQL and PostgreSQL high availability.
  • Performance tuning through the different tools available in Redis, MySQL and PostgreSQL.
  • Administering security and disaster recovery Design and Planning of databases, including back up, restore, recovery, auditing, and health checks.
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining complex Database Systems and Applications involved with these Databases (Store Procedures, Reports, Query optimizations, etc.).
  • Performing Redis, MySQL and PostgreSQL.
  • Works incident tickets including problem analysis, root cause and solution implementation.

To be eligible for this role you will require:

  • 4 or more years administering Redis, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other NoSQL technologies.
  • Experience in architecting and leading Database solutions.
  • Experience in migrating and upgrading Redis, MongoDB, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
  • Experience in Disaster recovery planning and implementation and fine tuning and optimizations.
  • Good scripting skills (Bash/Python) and good exposure on sql programming and must be well versed with Linux systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and interest in working for 24/7 environment.
  • Adaptive to changing situations and enjoy collaborating with teams in a diverse multi-cultural environment.
