We are looking for a creative and proficient in all aspects of food preparation, Executive & Sous Chefs at Lamana Hotel, Waigani, Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea


You will be the chief and maintain complete control of the kitchen.


  • Master of preparing all cuisine-Indian-Continental-Western
  • Excellent record of kitchen management.
  • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Capable of delegating multiple tasks.
  • Evaluate food product to ensure that quality standards are consistently attained.
  • Must have ability to work in any kitchen with high volume production in fine dining restaurants.
  • Must have comprehensive food knowledge, which includes cost control, menu planning, budgeting, inventory control.
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities to kitchen staff.
  • Will be responsible for entire kitchen operations, will be leading the kitchen team
  • Cook and design authentic Indian and International dishes and expand the menu selections.
  • Ensure that food preparation is economical and technically correct and within budgeted costs.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Should have done hotel management or Diploma
  • At least 8 years experience in similar job profile in 5 star or reputed hotels
  • Good command on English both written and spoken
  • Should be a team player
  • Should be able to face challenges and work effectively under pressure
  • Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
  • Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
  • Ready to be relocated to Papua New Guinea
