Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for Management, Supervision, Direction and Control of Bauxite/Iron Ore Mines..
  2. Responsible for duties and responsibilities as Mines Manager in the statutory capacity.
  3. To carry our prospecting and deposit evaluation to confirm mineral deposit quality and quantity with the help of Geologist and Surveyor.
  4. To generate a MIS & technical reports regarding the reserves, resource available to ensure correct assessment and decision making
  5. To study and ensure that the new Rules and Regulations pertaining to Mining and Environment policies are adhered to.
  6. To co-ordinate for Port and Infrastructure Development in the region assigned.
  7. To liaise with State Government Authorities for Mines, Environment Ministry, Pollution Board, Directorate General of Mines Safety, Directorate Geology & Mining, Indian Bureau of Mines, Contractors & local habitats etc.
  8. To recommend proper selection, procurement and maintenance of earth moving heavy vehicles and other mining equipment.
  9. Oversee output quality, including analysis, product certification & overall responsibility for onsite support for customer service as desired and directed by QA head.
  10. To coordinate with their respective heads for all assigned mining areas and ensure production of raw material within budgeted parameters.
  1. To liaison with local community for operating mines and have smooth and cordial relations with them.
  2. To ensure proper logistics and timely delivery of material for successful shipments
  3. To ensure that safety as per slandered
  4. Maintain labor peace in the mines and ensure law and order situation is being maintained in and around the mines.
  5. To be responsible for recommending an efficient infra-structural development system to achieve short-term and long-term objectives of the organization.
  6. To lead and guide subordinates by providing them with technical guidance, training and the required growth opportunities to ensure that they are developed for higher-level roles.
  7. To participate in the selection, evaluation, promotion and dismissal of the executives reporting directly to the incumbent.
  8. To plan, co-ordinate and allocate resources to subordinates.
  9. To meet subordinates and colleagues for daily, weekly and monthly reviews.
  10. To send the subordinates for necessary training in the field of surveying, prospecting, IBM, GSI, Remote Sensing and to upgrade their skills from time to time.
