Roles and Responsibilities

  • Managing the EHS activities for the assigned region in Africa.
  • Liaising with the client for site safety audits, safety meetings and submission of the compliance report. 
  • Devise, implement, and monitor new policies and activities aimed at providing a safe and healthy work environment to the employees. 
  • Testing and Certification of Tools & Plants through Competent party as per statutory requirements. 
  • Coordination with the site team and facilities for safe execution of critical work activities. 
  • Monitor the work permits system and its effective implementation for various job activities. 
  • Office safety and installation of CCTV at offices.  
  • Identify areas of improvement and perform a risk assessment for all sites in the region. 
  • Lead investigations for accidents and near-miss incidents and identify the root cause of the incident. 
  • Responsible for conducting fire safety audits, fire training and maintenance of Fire Fighting equipment and its overall maintenance. 
  • Conducting motivational safety programmes, Safety Week celebrations, World Environment Day, Fire services Day etc. across the workforce. 
  • Welfare measures of Labour at Labour camps and worksites. 

Desired Candidate Profile

  • B.Tech. with 25+ years of experience on project sites
  • Safety Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, etc. are required
  • Experience in the African region is mandatory
