Roles and Responsibilities

  • Experienced in handling Large Fleets - especially Heavy duty trucks, Light and Commercial vehicles, Equipment, Plant and Utilities
  • Monitor and perform the Periodic, Preventive and Repair maintenance of entire fleet independently using the ERP module application, vehicle tracking system and manual system effectively. Follow standard check list as per OEM specifications is a must
  • Should be able to carry out trouble-shooting whenever required, assist technicians in diagnosing and refer the technical manuals. Main objective should be avoiding recurring vehicle failures through proper failure analysis method
  • Coordinate with Operations and other departments effectively and ensure productivity
  • Develop and Manage Workshop team efficiently to handle day/night shift and breakdown proficiently
  • Handling spare parts arrangements, proper inventory-control and maintain all critical spares in stock in coordination with Stores will be an added requirement
  • Will be the quality inspector for all sorts of repairs and maintenance carried out in-house, dealers, outsourced agencies, etc.
  • Able to adhere to all safety standards, maintain discipline and decorum in workshop, perform periodic and proper house-keeping in offices and workshop
  • Build relationships with suppliers, vendors, etc. locally and internationally, ability to develop vendors will also be an added value
  • Report all incidents, accidents and malpractices to Workshop Manager and related departments is part of the assignment
  • Most important should have the knowledge to maintain files and documents such as vehicle history, job cards, tyre records, accident and insurance files, prepare technical and workshop reports, etc. Should be able to plan statutory requirements like vehicle traffic passing, coordination with the legal departments, vehicle renewals and bookings, etc. in coordination with Workshop Manager
  • Report to the Workshop Manager on daily basis and ensure proper functioning of workshop activities
  • Adjust to changes in responsibilities and targets according to management decisions.
  • KPI will be decided on the ability to control cost, reduce breakdown, proper manpower and fleet utilization i.e. maximum productivity and maintain proper reports and documents.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Has substantial work experience preferably in Waste Management and Recycling Industry in the GCC or previously in GCC. Experience in Construction & Production or Manufacturing and having experience of handling large fleet sizes, workshop & maintenance will also suffice
  • Valid Driving License preferably GCC
  • Degree/Diploma holder
  • Energetic and result oriented and having at least 10-15 years of similar exposure
  • Excellent communication skills, read & write in English fluently with added communication skills of other languages like Hindi, other regional languages and Arabic is an advantage
  • Computer literate; proficient with all Microsoft Office applications. Exposure to ERP is must
