IT School Head





Responsibilities:

  • To oversee and coordinate teaching, services and activities for the school of IT and academic affairs development for all relevant schools/department of the college.
  • To assist the Principal to plan, coordinate and develop business development activities through market and industrial research, analysis of the workplace systems and information system design and derive relevant projects to improve the student population growth for the School of IT
  • To work closely with the Corporate Marketing team on the smart partnership, projects, seminar and forum and etc.
  • To be responsible for progammes development, financial and profitability of the SOIT programmes
  • To attend to any matters upon request and assigned by the Principals or the Senior Management as and when required.


Requirements:

  • At least a Master's Degree from a recognized university. PhD will be and added advantage.
  • Possess 5-10 years of working experience in education line and managerial position.
  • Familiar with MQA and MyQuest requirements and specifications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management ability.
  • Ability to perform under stressful and tight-deadline situations.
  • Ability to manage admin staff, lecturers, students and parents well.
  • Possess good communication skills and hands on person.

Responsibilities:

  • To be responsible for supervision and teaching Postgraduate by Research student in Master or PhD in Education programmes.
  • To conduct research and publish outcomes of research findings through indexed journals, print media and other means of communications.
  • To prepare lesson plans, scheme of work, tutorials, assignments and class discussion.
  • To utilise the learning management system to maximise student learning.
  • To prepare teaching materials such as teaching notes, manuals, slides, reading for student learning.
  • To develop, review and update all lesson plans, schemes of work, syllabi from time to time to reflect current practice.
  • To prepare test/examination questions together with appropriate marking scheme in timely manner.
  • To prepare/update portfolio for every course taught.
  • To act as academic advisor / mentor to students and offer pastoral support.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess a PhD in Education by Research, or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of working experience preferably as a teacher and/or 5 years in tertiary education preferred.
  • Have passion in teaching and willing to go the extra mile to provide quality education to students.

Research

  • To undertake and contribute to research, conducting individual research or collaborating with others.
  • To conduct individual or collaborative scholarly projects.
  • To engage in knowledge generation, knowledge exchange and knowledge transfer activities.
  • To identify sources of funding and contribute to the process of securing funds for own research or scholarly projects.


Administration and other activities

  • Be responsible for quality, audit and other external assessments in own areas of responsibility.
  • Take responsibility for programme accreditation processes.
  • Ensure that operational processes such as timetabling, assessment and examinations are managed.

Requirements:

  • Possess a Master or PHD in Pharmacy and with a Basic Degree in Pharmacy.
  • Minimum 3 years of related working experience.
  • Good presentation skills with strong command in written and spoken English.
  • Candidates must be registered with Pharmacy Board Malaysia or of the Country.
  • Those with relevant experience in tertiary education would be an advantage.
  • Expatriate candidate who has a Spouse Visa and Resident Talent Pass will be considered.
